Your qualifications  
  • Degree in Law
  • Experience in international arbitration (e.g. Law Moot Court
    or working experience as an associate). Fundamental understanding
    and interest in international arbitration
  • Good analytical skills, solution and pragmatic-oriented
  • Excellent command of English and German
     
Your duties  
  • Drafting and preparing requests for hearings, pleadings,
    witness statements, motions and other documents
  • Conducting legal research
  • Participating in the legal proceedings
  • Working on a variety of international arbitration and litigation
    matters

Team Assistant - International Arbitration

It is therefore important to gather the critical facts, determine the strengths and weaknesses of a case, and develop a plan to settle or prevail.
A sound assessment of each side's position ensures better outcomes – this is our approach to international arbitration.
International arbitration is a form of dispute resolution, where the parties agree that the dispute will not be decided by a state court, but by private adjudicators known as arbitrators. 

For our expanding arbitration team in Vienna, we are currently seeking a Team Assistant.

Are you an Assistant who thrives on widening the perspective, enjoys a mix of national and international client contact and is looking to support a team in international arbitration?
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, motivation and personal resilience.
You will share our passion for working collaboratively across local teams and will have the opportunity to exercise your 'solutions focus' together with your proactive approach to delivering quality work. We want to invest in your potential, and we will offer you a chance to use and develop these critical attributes and competencies in this diverse and varied role.

     
Your qualifications  
  • Experience in a legal support role strongly preferred or any alternative experience as a team assistant
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Excellent English required (minimum C1 level or preferably mother tongue)
  • German (minimum A2 level); any other language is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of general office technology and Advokat 
     

Your duties will focus on

 
  • Filing documents and e-mails proactively
  • Assisting with meeting preparation and the coordination of post meeting actions
  • Establishing effective work practices with partners and lawyers to assist them in their matter management
  • Managing partners’ and lawyers’ internal and external appointments with appropriate meeting lead times including travel and diary management
  • Utilizing good management skills to help ensure completion, timely handling, and organization of client requests
